Tough on Dirt. Easy on Clothes.

The TurboDrum™ simulates the agitator motion on traditional washers, without wear and tear on clothes. The LG Direct Drive Motor rotates independently from the tub mechanism to create a powerful water flow. That means an enhanced but gentler clean with more room to do laundry in fewer loads*.

A Smarter Way to Wash

6Motion™ Technology uses up to 6 different wash motions to provide a smart cleaning experience that is gentle on clothes and maximizes washing performance.

Here to help

If you ever experience an issue with your LG washer, you don't have to worry. The SmartDiagnosis™ feature helps the service center diagnose problems over the phone, or with a simple app on your smartphone, helping you minimize costly, inconvenient service calls.

Get it All Done In Less Time

Ultra-large capacity (4.5 cu.ft.) means you have the room to do more laundry in fewer loads.

Water Plus - Whenever You Choose

The deep clean you already expect from LG top load washers, plus a deep fill option to add extra water to any cycle with the touch of a button.

ColdWash™ Technology

Using the cold cycle on your washer doesn't have to mean compromising. ColdWash™ technology uses cold water and enhanced washing motions to penetrate deep into fabrics, giving you cold water savings with warm water performance.

I bought this washer about a year and a half ago from Home Depot. I really should Have tried out all of the additional features, such as the Smart Diagnosis, the Cold Wash, and even the post-install self test. HD installed it and ran a cycle, but thatÕs it. We loved this washer up until about a few weeks ago, when the tub stopped moving and we began getting an error code ÒLEÓ. According to the OwnerÕs Manual it means a ÒMotor error occurredÓ. We live in a small town, but didnÕt expect that HD wouldnÕt be able to directly help, and instead had to defer to LG. Troubleshooting over the phone wasnÕt auccessful, and I discovered those extra features donÕt actually work like the manual says they do. LG would tell us there are no certified service techs for our LG product due to where we live, and a backlog of service calls. ThatÕs not good! WeÕd also purchased an LG dryer and refrigerator when we bought our house! The good news is LG finally told us they will put in a buyout recommendation/request for us. We should hear something soon.

We bought this month ten months ago from Best Buy and loved it until is stopped draining two weeks ago at which point I contacted LG. I've been lied to (assumably since I've told multiple stories) and I've been hung up on twice. It is now 2 weeks later and I still haven't been assigned anyone to come out to fix it. Do better research than I did. Visit and read the reviews about this issue. I sure wish I had.

Has a large learning curve

I am 78 years old and find myself challenged each time I buy a new appliance. I printed off the on-line manual info (the hard copy booklet was worthless). It must have taken me six wash days with the manual in hand before I felt confident I had the sequence of setting selections mastered. I had to read and highlight the manual for about 15 minutes before I would start a load. My major mistake was that I was pressing the modifier and options buttons after pressing the Start/Pause. The instructions did not make that sequence clear. Rather the instructions list the controls 1,2,3 etc and Start Button is #3 before #5 Modifier Buttons and #6 Options Buttons. I finally learned I must make all selections BEFORE pressing Start. There are 7 of these later buttons. Some only work in combination with each other. Not sure why there are buttons for Extra Rinse and Water Plus because the manual Cycle Guide recommends pressing those buttons for all cycles except bedding. Why make the user press the buttons for each load? Of course, I always find an item I need to add after the lid has locked. I have to re-read the instructions and wait for a light each time I forget an item. Thank goodness for the reviewer that explained that the Cold Water button only activates if a certain cycle has been selected. The biggest challenge is removing the washed items from the super deep tub. I am 5'2 and being older I am less able to do the stretch to reach the bottom of the tub. I now use a grabber device that I acquired following hip surgery and could not bend over to pick up items. The grabber rescues my socks and panties at the very bottom of the enormous tub. However, I have come to love the enormous tub. I am told by customer service on the phone that I can load 15 lbs of textiles. I do appreciate I don't have to try to arrange clothing to be properly balanced around a agitator in the middle of the machine. Because I cold water wash I can now put what used to be several different loads all as one in the enormous tub. The machine also predicts how many minutes a load will take. And the length of time for a load never seems less an hour+. The agitation means I have less tangled clothes or damaged clothes compared to my old type machines. I was also challenged as to the quantity of detergent. I finally called the detergent manufacturer and confirmed with LG customer service that I only needed 2T for small load, 3T for a 7 lb. medium load, and 1/3 Cup for large 15 lb load. Prior to that I was using way to much detergent by looking a the lines of the cup provided by the detergent manufacturer. That will be better for the environment.

I like the simplicity of this washer. I love the stainless steel tub. It is very deep which makes it a little challenging for my 5'2 frame. It does not have a handwash cycle or bulky item cycle which I had been used to on my previous washer but it seems to be adequate for my needs. It is very quiet.

I was nervous to purchase any washer because of the reviews, so I wanted to get on here and give you some peace of mind. I love the washer, it washes well, everything is under water and gets moved around. I'm happy with the purchase!
